You’re in the right place.
A few simple rules. A satisfying little challenge.
Let’s make your next puzzle a little easier.
A word game with a twist
Lexigo brings together the pleasure of solving a crossword clue and the satisfaction of spotting a word in a letter grid. Each daily puzzle gives you five clues to solve on a board of hexagonal tiles. Your answers connect: the last letter of one word becomes the first letter of the next. That little link turns five separate questions into one continuous puzzle.
You don’t need an enormous vocabulary to enjoy it. A willingness to try a different meaning, look again at the board, and rethink a first guess is a useful starting point. Give yourself a few minutes, settle into the clues, and let each solved word help you with the next.
Read for meaning
Begin with the clue and think of a few possible answers before tracing anything. Is it asking for an object, an action, or a description? Notice small details: a plural clue may call for a plural answer, while a clue about something that already happened may suggest a past-tense verb.
Treat your first idea as a possibility. If it doesn’t work, keep the meaning of the clue in mind and try a synonym. A familiar word can be surprisingly hard to see when you’ve become attached to another one.
Find the letter path
Look for your candidate word among neighboring hexagons. The path can turn as you move from letter to letter; it doesn’t have to form a straight line. You can also backtrack and reuse letter tiles, so don’t rule out a word simply because its route doubles back.
Check the spelling carefully as you trace. A word that sounds right still needs a valid path on the board. When you hit a dead end, revisit the last few letters before abandoning the whole idea.
Keep the chain going
Once you’ve solved a word, use its final letter to begin the next answer. That connection gives you something concrete to work with before you’ve even interpreted the next clue. Read the new clue with that starting letter in mind and see which possibilities remain.
Work through the five clues at your own pace. Getting stuck halfway through doesn’t undo what you’ve already solved. Take a breath, reread the wording, and use the information you have to make your next guess more focused.
Change the question you’re asking
Instead of asking “What is the answer?”, try “What kind of word would fit?” A clue may describe a thing by what it does, or use a word with more than one meaning. Say the clue in your own words and consider whether you’ve been reading it too narrowly.
Compare your ideas against the letters available on the game board. A good synonym that cannot be traced through neighboring tiles is a reason to keep looking. Check the clue’s tense and meaning again before you settle on another possibility. If you’re going in circles, a short pause can help you return with a fresher perspective.
Choose just the clue you need
Lexigo.Solutions lets you choose how much help to take. The daily puzzle page lists the clues without showing any solutions. Find the clue that’s holding you up and select it to open a separate answer page. Only that clue’s solution appears there, leaving the rest of the puzzle for you to enjoy. Use “Back to all clues” when you’re ready to continue.
Use the search field to find matching clues on a dedicated results page. Enter a word or phrase from your clue and press Enter to search. Opening a clue is your choice: there are no inline reveals or buttons that uncover the complete set. If you want to check another word, return to the list and choose that clue individually. For an older puzzle, follow an available date in the calendar or browse the archive. Check the puzzle date first so you’re comparing the right clues.
Make it your daily word ritual.
Some days you’ll finish without a nudge; other days one answer will open everything up. Both are good reasons to come back. Pay attention to the clues that surprised you, enjoy the words you found yourself, and let tomorrow’s puzzle be a fresh start.
